Ollie Okeowo, commonly known as “Ollie X” or “X Wood”, is a Canadian based rapper and former member of ROUGIES CLIQUE. Following his hip hop, jazz, and funk influences, Ollie X’s style emerges as relatable, with deep wordplay, and a distinguishable tone.
Ollie X’s career began around open mics and with his music club, Young Artist Collective. They hosed periodic shows for any local artist looking to perform or share their art.
Backstory
Former gang member, who witnessed his best friends death, Ollie X has a commitment to the arts and youths in the community. This commitment has gravitated him away from the street life and into the creative hub of collaborating and creating music.
Although Ollie X has been commended for his laid back attitude, he understands that he needs to step up to the forefront and be a leader for our generation.
Up Coming Projects
Ollie X is set to debut his first solo album, “Viva La Revolution” in 2021. He will be dedicating it to the people. This album will be his most anticipated piece of work since his hiatus in 2018. He currently has singles out on Spotify and Soundcloud.
